Neal Birnbaum, M.D., joined the Brown & Toland Board in January 2002 and was named Chairman of the Board in January 2009. Dr. Birnbaum also is chief of rheumatology at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), was elected CPMC Chief of Staff twice and is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. A graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Birnbaum completed his residency in internal medicine and  fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
 
Joel Klompus, M.D., President, served as a member of the Brown & Toland Board of Directors for 17 years. He was named president in May 2007. Dr. Klompus earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Richard Fish
, Chief Executive Officer, became CEO in November 2010. He joined Brown & Toland in January 2007 as senior vice president of New Business Development. He has more than 18 years of health care experience at organizations such as Heritage Development Organization, Talbert Medical Group, Pacific Cardiovascular Associates/Pacific Hospitalist Associates, Talbert Medical Management Corporation and FHP International. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. 
 
Jackie Bright, Senior Vice President of Health Plan and Network Strategies, joined Brown & Toland in 2011. She previously was Vice President at Sutter Health and Chief Executive Officer of SutterSelect. She also was Chief Operating Officer for Sutter Connect, and has more than 26 years of management experience in service delivery, operations, business development, managed care and strategic planning for HMOs, medical groups, independent physician associations, and hospitals across the nation. Prior to her employment with Sutter, she was vice president at the Pace Group and a director at Foundation Health.
 
Mark Ficker, Chief Operating Officer, has been with Brown & Toland since October 1999. Mr. Ficker has more than 14 years experience and previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, William M. Mercer and the Arizona Department of Health Services. He has significant experience in establishing financial monitoring and reporting systems for medical groups, HMOs, IPAs and hospitals. Mr. Ficker is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from San Francisco's Golden Gate University.
 
Michael Gam, Chief Financial Officer, joined Brown & Toland in July 2010. He previously was CFO of the Talbert Medical Group in Southern California, Director of Finance for the City of Hope Hospital, and Controller for MedPartners in Southern California.
 
Nadine Greiner, Ph.D., Vice President of Human Resources, joined Brown & Toland in 2011. She previously was Vice President of Human Resources at Sutter Health and Bank of America. Additionally, as a consultant providing organization development and interim leadership, Dr. Greiner’s clients included Blue Shield, Catholic  Healthcare West, Lucile Packard, the Matilda Brown Nursing Home, Reuters, Apple, and the James Irvine Foundation.  She earned a bachelors of science from Middlesex University, London and a dual Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Clinical Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology.
 

Vineeta Hiranandani, Vice President of Marketing, joined Brown & Toland in April 2012. Previously, she served as Senior Director of corporate brand and marketing at McKesson Corporation and was Vice President of global brand and marketing for Visa International. In previous positions, she worked in marketing, brand, strategy and product development roles for healthcare and financial services organizations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Colgate University and an MBA with a focus on marketing and healthcare from the University of Connecticut.

 
Jay Long, M.D., Vice President, Physician Growth Strategies, served on the Brown & Toland's Board of Directors from 2007 to 2009. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine.
 
Evan Moore, Vice President, East Bay Region, joined Brown & Toland in 2011. He has more than 25 years of healthcare experience, having worked in hospitals and health systems, the managed care outpatient services environment, with physician groups and networks, data and systems, and in finance. In previous positions he has worked as chief operations officer of an integrated hospital system, has built and managed physician networks and outpatient centers, and has worked as an advisor for many of the country's top hospitals, HMOs, physician practices, laboratories, and diagnostic imaging centers. He is a graduate of Stanford University.

Claire Shoen, Vice President of Contracting and Network Management, joined Brown & Toland in January 2012. She previously was executive vice president of Business Development and Physician Relations for the ValleyCare Health System and chief executive officer for the ValleyCare Medical Foundation in Pleasanton, Calif. She has worked at such organizations as the San Francisco Medical Group, Summit Medical Center, San Rafael Medical Group, Catholic Healthcare West, and Sutter Physician Services. She earned an undergraduate degree from Scripps College in Claremont, Calif., and a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University.
 
Andrew Snyder, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, joined Brown & Toland in April 2012. Dr. Snyder founded Stamford Health Integrated Practices in Connecticut, where he served as president and chief executive officer in charge of clinical and corporate operations and vice president of ambulatory network development.  Prior to that, he was the physician officer at Lifespan and Rhode Island Hospital and senior medical director at Lifespan Physicians’ Service Organization. A pediatrician, Dr. Snyder also served as vice chairman of the department of pediatrics at Hasbro Children's Hospital and Brown University Medical School in Providence, R.I. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut Medical School and completed his residency at Denver Children’s Hospital. 
 
Fiona Wilson, M.D., Senior Vice President, Clinical Transformation, earned her medical degree from the Harvard Medical School. She served for 11 years on Brown & Toland's Board of Directors and was named Brown & Toland's Vice President of Quality Initiatives in 2004.
