Job Description
This position works in conjunction with business line leaders, stakeholders and partners to ensure the administration of a process improvement system, and identify a company operating system and improvement initiatives to promote positive change within defined segments throughout the organization in order to improve operating performance In addition to process improvement methodologies, this position will be responsible for building a culture of continuous improvement, winning employee engagement, and implementing measurable behavioral improvement efforts within the organization that result in improved physician and patient satisfaction.
This position has health care industry knowledge and bring industry thought leadership to all decision making efforts. The individual will identify current and future business needs in the market, and design process and system improvements to capitalize on business opportunities while mitigating operational tasks.
Skills Required
- Equivalent of seven (7) or more years of successful process improvement experience. Must have in depth knowledge of the health care industry, the unique challenges of the industry's business models and strategies to support them. Management experience a plus.
- An advanced degree in health care administration or business administration desirable. Formal training in Lean Six Sigma and broad work experience in operating systems and operations improvement required. The person taking this role must be able to effectively develop colleagues at all levels, help them form trans-divisional teams and inspire their creativity, passion and commitment.
- Adept at teaching new concepts and applying principles and best practices into problem solving approach.
- Work well under time constraints with resiliency to change priorities as business needs dictate.
- Maintain strong relationships, communications regarding success metrics, and teaching Performance Improvement with business leadership team.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate productive meetings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for business, technical, and clinical audiences.
- Brings fresh ideas and thinking to problems and issues.
- Self directed, minimal supervision required.
