Flu Season Update
Flu season is here! It is important that you stay healthy and protect yourself and others from getting the flu. Click here for more information on how stay healthy and protect yourself and others. Hep B Free San Francisco Hep B Free San Francisco is a two-year-long citywide effort to screen, vaccinate and treat all San Francisco Asian and Pacific Islanders for the hepatitis B virus. It is estimated that 1 in 10 people in the API community are unknowingly infected with the virus. Hepatitis B is preventable with a vaccine that is administered with three injections. The hepatitis B vaccine provides an easy and effective method for preventing HBV infection.
Brown & Toland encourages its members to get vaccinated for both hepatitis A and B. All people, including children, adolescents, and adults should be vaccinated, provided they are not already infected with the hepatitis B virus. Diagnosis for hepatitis B infection is through a simple and inexpensive blood test. Please join us in the fight to make San Francisco Hep B Free.
